Let’s talk about why these are my favorite cookies.
Why These Cookies Are My Favorite and Why You’ll Love Them Too!
The first reason why these are my favorite cookies is due to browned butter and espresso powder. Browned butter chocolate chip cookies are always the best. It gives the cookies a nutty, rich taste. I’ll tell you how to make browned butter later. Espresso powder also makes these cookies rich, but it mainly deepens the chocolate flavor. you’ve never had chocolate chip cookies with these amazing things, then I would highly recommend trying this recipe!
Another reason to love these cookies is their amazing texture. They’re soft in the middle, chewy on the edges, and crispy on the bottom. These things are what make a cookie amazing, and this recipe has all three!
The final reason that these are my favorite cookies is because of how easy and quick they are. Cookies are one of my favorite things to make because of how easy they are. These browned butter cookies don’t need to be chilled before scooping and baking, making them super quick and easy!

Here’s everything you need to know about the ingredients of these cookies!

- Brown Sugar: adds moisture from the molasses to make the center soft
- Egg: adds structure and fat for texture
- Vanilla: enhances the flavor
- Salt: also enhances the flavor

- Baking Powder: adds structure and helps the cookies brown
- Flour: adds structure
- Chocolate Chips: without them, these cookies wouldn’t be chocolate chip cookies!
✨ How to Make These Cookies ✨
Here is how to make these amazing cookies!
First, you have to brown the butter. This means heating it up in a pan until it’s brown and foamy. It should be bubbly and coffee-colored. Let this cool in the fridge. Cooling it in the fridge is very important, so do not skip it!
The reason you shouldn’t skip letting the butter cool is that the chocolate chips will melt. This happened to me before. I was too lazy to let the butter cool. When I mixed in the chocolate chips, they all melted. Scooping the cookie dough onto the parchment paper was a mess! The next time I made this recipe, I let the browned butter cool, and they turned out amazing and mess-free!
Now, after you let the butter cool, add the sugar, brown sugar, egg, vanilla, salt, and espresso powder. This recipe uses 1/4 cup of granulated sugar and 3/4 cup of brown sugar because I found that that’s the perfect balance.
I use turbinado sugar. That means if you use granulated sugar, your cookie may have a different texture. After you add those ingredients, the dough may be a bit slimy from the egg. That’s perfectly fine and normal!
Next, add the flour and baking soda. Mix until no dry flour remains. Do not overmix because this causes the cookies to be tough and not soft. Stir in the chocolate chips. I think that 1 cup is the perfect amount, but you can add less or more if you want.
Finally, scoop large dollops (about 1/4 cup) of dough onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 350 for 10-14 minutes. And you’re done! That’s it!

Do you want to know the history of chocolate chip cookies?

I did a research paper on chocolate chip cookies a long time ago. I’ve loved cookies for a long time, as you can tell. I learned that someone named Ruth Wakefield invented them. She ran a place named Toll House Inn. Ruth was in a hurry, so she chopped up a chocolate bar and put it in her chocolate cookies, thinking that the chocolate would melt evenly throughout the cookies.
That didn’t happen. Instead, the cookies had bits of chocolate. She served them to her guests anyway. They loved the cookies! Ruth’s cookies became famous. Nestlé investigated why chocolate sales were increasing. They discovered that Ruth’s chocolate chip cookies were the reason! They made chocolate bars into chips so that people wouldn’t have to chop the bars themselves anymore.
Nestlé asked for Ruth’s recipe to be printed on their packaging in exchange for a LIFETIME SUPPLY OF CHOCOLATE! A lifetime supply of chocolate sounds amazing! Tell me in the comments section below what you would do with a lifetime supply of chocolate!
Thank you so much for reading this! That’s all. Bye, girlies!
