“Girl shall not live on cookies alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God,” or something like that. Welcome to the May 2026 Bible Study Challenge: Galatians 6:7-10! This month, we’ll have a Bible study on Galatians 6:7-10. This verse is one of my favorites, so I’m very excited to dive in! But first, I need to tell you your mission.
Your Mission
Your mission is to have a Bible study on Galatians 6:7-10. Grab a piece of paper, a notebook, or anything else to write on. You’ll also need something to write with and your Bible, of course. After you gather your materials, we can start! Read Galatians 6:7-10, and write your Bible study. Your Bible study must include your:
- Observation (what you observed)
- Application (how you can apply this to your life)
- and Prayer (a prayer based on your observation and application)
Your observation should also include answers to all three Main Questions. I’ll list them soon. Finally, you need to share what you observed on May 31st, the last day of the month. That’s when I’ll share what I observed! Ok, now that you know your mission, we can start!
Galatians 6:7-10 NLT:
Verse 7
Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.
Verse 8
Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.
Verse 9
So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.
Verse 10
Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.
Three Main Questions
It’s May, meaning school is almost over (unless you do year-round)! I am so excited to finally be done with school! I have a lot of plans for my summer, like swimming, reading, and other fun projects. Summer is a great time to enjoy the free time and do the things you love. What do you want to do this summer? Let me know in the comments below!
So, summer is coming soon. But in the meantime, we still have to do all of our school assignments. It can be easy to grow weary and stop doing our best! And after school is over, it can be easy to get out of routine and not read the Bible and pray often. How do we not grow weary in doing good in our assignments before school is over and in our relationships with God after school is over? That’s why I chose Galatians 6:7-10 to be our verses of the month to study!
You don’t have to memorize the whole passage, but Galatians 6:9 is easy to remember, so I would highly recommend memorizing it. It says that we shouldn’t get tired (or “grow weary” in NKJV) of doing good things because doing good sows good seeds. This will cause a harvest of blessings at just the right time, and we just have to not give up!
There is sowing and reaping all over the Bible. Luke 6:38 and Galatians 5:22-23 (FRUIT of the Spirit) are just a few. Verse 7 of our passage says that you will always harvest what you plant! Always! Then, it goes on to say that living by the flesh produces death, but living by the Spirit produces a harvest of life. And that’s why we should never stop doing good! We should do good whenever we can! Ok, it’s time for the three Main Questions!
- What does it mean to harvest what you plant by God’s justice?
- Why should we live according to the Spirit? How do we live according to the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23)?
- Why shouldn’t we give up on doing good? Who should we do good to?
Now, let’s start our Bible study!
Time to Write!
Observation
Write your observation. What do you observe from Galatians 6:7-10? Include answers to all three Main Questions.
Application
Write your application. How can you apply this to your life?
Prayer
Write a prayer based on your application and observation.
That’s all for the May 2026 Bible Study Challenge: Galatians 6:7-10! Don’t forget to share what you observed on May 31st! That’s when I’ll share my observation! Thanks for reading. That’s all. Bye!
