To annoy the rude customer, he sliced the potatoes really thin and made them super crispy. Well, the customers liked the crispy potatoes 😂. They became super popular. Today, they’re still a popular snack.

Ruth Wakefield made chocolate chip cookies by adding chocolate bar chunks to cookie dough hoping it would melt. The chocolate didn’t melt completely. She served them to her guests at Toll House Inn anyways. Everyone loved them! Nestle decided to make premade chocolate chips so bakers wouldn’t have to chop the chocolate bars anymore. They even put Ruth’s recipe on their packaging! In return, Ruth got a lifetime supply of free chocolate! That sounds awesome!

The most popular chip flavor in the United States is plain salted. That makes sense. Plain salted potato chips are the most popular flavor in the U.S. because their taste goes well with almost any dip or meal. Though many cool flavors exist, many people prefer the classic salty crunch that will never go out of style. Plain potato chips for the win!
