Bible Prophecies About Jesus!!!
Genesis 3:15
Genesis 3:15 is the first Bible prophecy about Jesus’ resurrection that we’ll talk about. I learned that this is the first prophecy in the entire Bible! It says that God will put etmity between the woman’s (Eve’s) offspring and the serpent’s. The serpent’s offspring will crush the woman’s offspring’s heel, but the woman’s offspring will crush the serpent’s offspring’s head. God spoke this after Adam and Eve sinned. He was promising a redeemer that would redeem humanity from the curse that their sin brought.
This prophecy was fullfilled when Jesus died and took the keys of dominion. He then rose again on the third day.
Psalms 22
Pslams 22 is a psalm that foreshadows Jesus on the cross. It says, “They pierce my hands and feet,” and, “Cast lots for my garment.” This is exactly what happened to Jesus on the cross! And those aren’t the only ones. This passage also has many other prophecies that were fulfilled. At the end, it finally says how all of this suffering led to the greatest turning point in history. So, this prophecy is one of my favorites because of how detailed it is. It basically gave all the details from when Jesus was on the cross! It’s so amazing!
Isaiah 53
This is the final prophecy passage that we will look at today for fun. Like Psalms 22, this passage gives a very detailed foreshadow of Jesus on the cross. It also includes a very famous verse, Isaiah 53:5 that says “By His wounds we are healed.” This passage includes details about how Jesus faced oppression and affliction without opening His mouth.
