Yield: 3 soaps

Equipment

  • 1 sharp knife
  • 1 microwavable bowl
  • 1 spoon
  • 3 silicone flower molds
  • 1 plastic bag and tie optional

Materials

  • 3.2 oz goat milk soap base about one large cube
  • 1 drop dye I used natural food dye
  • 2 drops essential oil or any other fragrance

Instructions

  • Cut 3.2 oz of goat milk soap base with a sharp knife. Put it into a microwavable bowl. Get out your flower molds and a spoon to stir. Also, get your dye and fragrance ready because you need to work quickly with soap.
  • Melt the soap base in the microwave for about 12 seconds. Stir with the spoon and put it back in the microwave for about 10 seconds or until melted. Make sure to keep an eye on it in the microwave so that it doesn't bubble over. As soon as it's melted, quickly stir in the dye and essential oil fragrance. Immediately pour it into the three molds.Try to evenly divide the soap into the molds.
  • Let the soap cool in the flower molds for 15-30 minutes or until the bottom is cool. The time will depend on how cold it is in the room and the soap base you use. When they are cool, take the soap out of the mold. Put them in the optional bag and tie with a ribbon. Give your soap to a friend or use it yourself. Enjoy!
