November Bible Study Challenge: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

“Homeschooled girl shall not live on cookies alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God,” or something like that. Welcome to the November Bible Study Challenge: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Part Two! On November 1st, we had a Bible study. Now it’s time to share what we all observed! You can tell me what you observed in the comments, but before that, I need to remind you of a few things and share what I observed.

Reminder of what 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Says:

“Rejoice always,  pray without ceasing,  in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

Reminder of the Three Main Questions:

In case you forgot, here are the three Main Questions:

My Observation

Thanksgiving was a few days ago (does anyone already have their Christmas tree set up?). It’s the holiday that I remember how blessed I am to live in America. Though Adam and Eve chose to sin, so the world is far from perfect, there are still so many things to be thankful for. One thing we can all be grateful for is Jesus. However, sometimes I forget to be thankful and become moody. Now, let me share all three of my answers to the Main Questions.

The question was, “Is being ungrateful what’s best for us?” Being ungrateful is NOT what’s best for me and you. God’s will is always what’s best for me, and I can find it in the Bible. So that’s one of the many reasons why you should read your Bible. In 1 Thessalonians 5:18, we see that God’s will for us is to be thankful. So, being ungrateful is not God’s will for me, meaning it’s not what’s best for me.

The next question was, “Why should we choose to be thankful?” I kinda already answered that one. God’s will for us is to be thankful! Something else that I’ve realized is that being moody only hurts me. Though I’m never going to be perfect, I try not to keep emotions, but instead get them out.

Finally, the last question was, “How do we control moodiness?” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 tells us! Rejoicing always and praying without ceasing is how I can control moodiness. Also, praying without ceasing doesn’t mean literally praying forever. It just means praying often, every day. So, I can control moodiness by always being thankful for the things I have and praying often.

Conclusion

Thank you so much for reading my observation of the November Bible Study Challenge: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Part Two! It’s time to comment on your observation now! I can’t wait to see what you found while having a Bible study. Also, remember to include your original answers to the three Main Questions. That’s all. Bye, girlies!
