The Perfect Christmas Craft or Gift: Candy Sleighs

The perfect Christmas craft or gift are candy sleighs. They are fun, customizable, and the perfect gift for someone who likes candy.

Candy sleighs are the perfect Christmas craft or gift! They are super fun to make and very customizable. They are also the perfect gift for someone who likes candy. I made some candy sleighs with my family, and it was so much fun! Because of this, I want to show you how to make them as a craft or as a gift. It’s super easy and fun at the same time! Whoever you give this candy sleigh to will be so happy. Before we start, let me share some tips, ideas, and suggestions that will help you make this craft.

Tips, Ideas, and Suggestions

Tips

I have two tips. My first tip for you is to have the chocolate bar sitting vertically on the edge of the table when hot-gluing the candy canes on. This way, you can use both hands to glue and stick the candy canes on the bottom of the candy bar. It also helps you make the candy canes even.

My second tip is to glue the back of the chocolate nuggets instead of gluing the place it will be. This wastes less glue and gives more accuracy. It also prevents those hot glue strings.

Ideas

My first idea when making these is to make a structure other than a present on the sleigh. For example, some of my family members made buildings. Here’s one of theirs:

Be creative and make something that is special.

My second idea is to use some different candy than me. I used the candy that I like, but you may have different preferences. Many people use KitKat, which is a classic. Some people even put a Santa chocolate candy at the front of the sleigh. If you’re giving this to someone and want to be safe, use Hershey’s classic milk chocolate bar.

My final idea is to use ribbon. Many people wrap ribbon around the sleighs to make the chocolate nuggets look like a big present. If you use ribbon, tell me in the comments!

Suggestions

I have two suggestions. My first one is to use colorful chocolate nuggets to add interest to your sleigh. The same goes for bows. Use a bow that pops with the candy colors you choose!

My final suggestion is to use this craft as a fun activity with family and friends. It’s great for socializing and laughing! Have fun!

How to Make the Candy Sleigh:

Materials:

  • 1 chocolate bar
  • 2 candy canes
  • 10 chocolate nuggets
  • 1 bow 🎀
  • A hot glue gun
  1. First, gather all of your materials. You’ll need a chocolate bar of your choice. You can use KitKat, og Hershey’s bar, or the cookies-and-cream Hershey’s bar I used (it’s my favorite). You will also need two candy canes and chocolate nuggets. Again, use whatever variety that the person you’re giving the gift to likes. Choose a cute bow and plug in the hot glue gun. Make sure you have enough glue sticks. While it heats up, plan your design before you add hot glue. This makes it a lot easier!

  2. Next, you have to glue the candy canes to the bottom of the candy bar. Lay the candy bar vertically at the edge of a table. Put some glue on the back of the candy bar near the two sides of the candy bar, and place candy canes on it. Hold them until it’s dry. When the glue is dry, it should look something like this ⬇candy bar with two candy canes on glued on the bottom, making it look like a sleigh
  3. Now it’s time to add the chocolate nuggets! Glue four nuggets on top of the candy bar sleigh. Glue three on top of the four. Glue two and then one on the very top. Make sure it looks neat and has barely any hot glue strings. Make it look something like this picture ⬇the candy sleigh with ten chocolate nuggets glued on
  4. Finally, place the bow on top of the candy sleigh. Give it to someone who loves candy for Christmas or eat it yourself! Enjoy! finished perfect Christmas Craft or gift: candy sleighs
