Studying when you don’t feel like it can be tricky. However, I’ve figured out a few tips that help me be productive and study after being lazy all day. This is why I have a guide for you, my fellow homeschooled girlies, on how to study even when you don’t feel like it! Are you ready? Let’s dive in!
1. Getting Rid of Distractions
My first tip for you is to get rid of distractions. This can be hard because it’s not always quiet, but there are a few things that you can do to help. Turning the TV off, putting on headphones, and clearing up the workspace are great ideas to limit distractions. If there are absolutely too many distractions at home, try going to the library. This tip works great for me because it helps me focus on what I need to study. I hope this tip works well for you!
2. Splashing Cold Water on Face

This tip sounds weird, but it’s actually amazing! Every time I want to study but don’t feel like it, I splash some cold water on my face. If my hair is messy, I also fix that. It kinda resets me, I guess. I immediately want to start studying after doing this. I feel ready and motivated! Try out this hack too! If you try it, tell me in the comments how it works for you.
3. Setting a Reward
My next tip is to set a reward for studying. This could be anything. For example, it could be a snack, a game, or just knowing you finally studied. I do this, and it always works. It works for me because it gets me to think about how rewarding studying is, which makes me want to do it more. Just remember not to give up! Ok, now here’s a hack for actually starting.
4. The Five Minute Trick
This tip is just amazing. I’ve done it many times for everything, including studying. Basically, I set a timer for five minutes, saying that I will study for only five minutes. After the timer goes off, I feel motivated to keep going. What I’ve noticed is that starting is the hardest part. The five-minute trick helps me to do this. So, try this trick today to see if it works for you!
5. Cute School Supplies

My final tip is to have cute school supplies. Fun supplies always motivate me to want to study. Whether it’s a pencil, a stapler, or even sticky notes, they bring a fun vibe to my study space if you know what I mean. It makes studying kinda fun, which sounds crazy, but you have to try it.
