Some homeschoolers, such as myself, go back to school shopping even though we have pencils from 3rd grade (I have another post about that. Click here to see it). I guess it’s just the vibe. We see all of the pencils and notebooks at the front of every store, which makes us want to go back-to-school shopping.
For example, I just got a pink stapler from the store. I don’t know why, but having cute, fun school supplies makes school 10 times better. That’s why I got the pink stapler. Do you feel that way too? Or am I just weird?
If you feel that way too (and I’m not just weird 🙃), then you’re in the right place! If you like fancy school supplies and you have washi tape, you can turn a plain pencil into a cute pencil! It’s really easy. Let me show you how to do that!
Step 1:

First, gather a pencil and your favorite washi tape. I chose this space-themed washi tape because I love astronomy.
Step 2:

Next, wrap the washi tape around the pencil from the bottom up. Wrap it like a spiral. Try to make the washi tape wrap around the pencil as tightly as possible. Also, try not to get any gaps or air bubbles when wrapping the washi tape around the pencil.
Step 3:

Finally, finish wrapping the washi tape around the pencil until it reaches a bit under the top. Unwrap the washi tape as needed when sharpening the pencil. Don’t even try to sharpen it with the washi tape still on. I tried doing that, and my pencil sharpener could not handle it.
And there you have it! Now you know how to make a cute pencil with your favorite washi tape! If having cute, fun school supplies makes school 10 times better for you, then I hope you try this someday! Bye, girlies!
I have a random fun fact to share: Pencil lead is not made of lead! It’s actually made of graphite (which is made of carbon, in case you’re a brainy girl like me). Lead is toxic, which is not good for pencils. Graphite, however, is perfect for pencils. It leaves a mark on paper, making it perfect for doodles without poisoning anyone 😅.
If you want to learn how to draw something with your new, cute, and fun pencil, then I have the perfect craft for you! Click here to learn how to draw an eyeball! I am not a professional artist, but I can still give you a tutorial. In fact, being a pro artist actually makes it more difficult to make a drawing tutorial for noobs. I know how hard those “easy tutorials” made by pros can be! In this post, I’ll guide you through every process of drawing an eyeball. It’s cute, but surprisingly easy once you get the hang of it! Hope you enjoy and have a lot of fun drawing an eyeball with your new, cute pencil! Bye! See you later!
